Congressman takes cards and letters to troops
An Illinois congressman is taking a special delivery to troops in
Iraq.
Republican representative Mark Kirk announced Thursday he will personally
carry holiday cards and letters to Illinois troops in Iraq.
Kirk and other members of congress will also evaluate the progress
toward elections in Iraq.
Troops these days have access to email, but that has a certain impersonal
quality, its very important when you get a card or letter from your
friends at church, or synagogue, or especially mom. It makes all
the difference," Kirk said.
If you would like to send a card or letter with Congressman Kirk,
send it to:
Suite 200
102 Wilmot Road
Deerfield, Illinois
60015
The deadline is December 9th.
